Brian Calkins, FitKids Creator
 |
As a parent of a college student, and an
almost 3 year old, Brian recognizes the critical need for children to have more
opportunity for focused movement through play.
"It's only through
play & fun that kids optimally develop
social, emotional, and cognitive
skills. Our job as parents, as I see it, is to provide the missing opportunities
for our kids to progress effectively through
their formative years into adulthood."
Recognized as one of the top personal trainers in the country, Brian
has been helping Cincinnatians safely and effectively lose weight and feel great since 1999. In June of 2004 Brian was honored as one of the nation's top 50 personal trainers by the American Association of Personal Trainers and in August, 2005 Mr. Calkins' fitness approach was featured in THE WALL STREET JOURNAL.
|
Having worked with over one thousand individuals through Adventure Boot Camp
for Women, and the programs offered at the HealthStyle Fitness Studio, Brian has developed a warm,
supportive, motivating & enthusiastic approach to fitness.
Creator of many health and fitness programs, Brian has been seen on local
television, in The Cincinnati Business Courier, CiN Weekly, The
Cincinnati Enquirer, and heard on national and local radio.
Brian operates a private fitness studio near Hyde Park, on Red Bank Road, seconds off I-71, as well as Adventure Boot Camp for Women in Oakley,
